On September 1st, 2022, Dream Academy began its 5th school year. In the last 5 years, we have touched countless lives and created a unique opportunity for unengaged students to reengage and succeed.
As we move into the second half of our first decade, it is time to change the way we educate. As 2020's pandemic illustrated, remote and online education tools are not only outdated but unengaging. Dream Academy has decided to meet students where they are, on the technology they are comfortable with, in ways that keep them engaged.
Dream Academy 2024
Vision
The vision of Dream Academy 2024 is to create a truly engaging and revolutionary learning experience, using delivery methods and tools that students are already familiar and engaged with.
Knowledge
The first step of education is providing information and creating knowledge. Dream Academy will develop a new system to provide this information and assess on retention. This will include micro-lessons, rapid refresh quizzes, gamification, and social interaction.
Ability
The second step of education is providing the ability to put a student's knowledge into practice. We will do this through project-based learning, which will be tied to the knowledge, along with competencies that will help to create a well-rounded individual.
Assessment
Assessment is the key to measuring progress and growth. Dream Academy will continue to use the Nationally Normed MAP Growth Testing to measure Language Usage, Reading, and Mathematics growth.
Impact
Not only will these innovations have a positive impact on our students, additional opportunities will be available. Enhanced Dual Diploma/AA Degree Options and Career Training will be available.
